Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement covers the ilmaistapahtumat.fi service, run by Home Team Heroes. We have voluntarily committed to making the site as accessible as possible, so that it can be used by as many people as possible.

State of accessibility

The service largely meets the WCAG 2.1 AA-level requirements. Particular attention has been paid to:

• sufficient colour contrast
• keyboard operability
• screen reader compatibility
• a clear page structure and heading hierarchy
• alternative text for images
• reduced motion according to the user's settings (prefers-reduced-motion)

Known issues

• Keyboard use of the map view is limited, because the map is built on the Leaflet library. All events shown on the map are also available in the list view.
• Some event images may have incomplete descriptions (ALT text), because the descriptions come from the event organizers.
• Some event descriptions are only available in one language (usually Finnish or Swedish), because the text comes from the organizers.
